Change in Transportation PDF Print E-mail
Parents must send written consent to change their child's transportation.  In the event a child is to ride a bus, the note should include the address which the child is to be dropped off.  In the case of last minute changes, you may call the office to arrange a faxed written permission.  Guntersville Elementary School's fax number is (256)582-0892.  Changes in transportation are not made over the phone for safety reasons.

School Hours

Attendance at school each day is very important.  Please make sure that your child is at school on time.  The first bell rings at 7:30 a.m. and the tardy bell rings at 7:40 a.m.  Students and parents must check-in through the office if arriving after 7:40 a.m.

Avoid unnecessary check-outs.  Time away from class causes your child to miss fun learning experiences.  We highly discourage check-outs after 2:00.

The afternoon bus bell rings at 2:20 p.m. and the car bell rings at 2:25 p.m.  All car riders should be picked up by 2:40.
